The Ashland Enguard brand includes gel-coats, topcoats and colour pastes, which are used in many market segments including boat building, transportation and building and construction.

“We are thrilled to have Enguard gel-coat formulations readily available for our customers in India,” says Nikunj Mehta, business development manager, Ashland Performance Materials. “We wanted to deliver applications, process usage and technical awareness for these new products in person.”

Ashland began production of unsaturated polyester resins in India last year through a local partner.

Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc (NYSE: ASH), USA, supplies unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy vinyl ester resins, as well as gel-coats, pressure-sensitive and structural adhesives.
