AkzoNobel increases prices for thermoset curing agents in Europe

21 April 2010

AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals has announced a price increase for its range of curing agents for thermoset resins in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The price increase of 8-15%, depending on the product, is effective immediately, or as contracts allow.

The increases will be applied to AkzoNobel’s range of organic peroxides, inhibitors, accelerators and promoters in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

According to AkzoNobel, rapidly rising raw material costs have added pressure on already weak margins, necessitating the price increases.

Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, AkzoNobel supplies paints, coatings and speciality chemicals.
