Cray Valley announces price increase for composite resins in Europe

19 April 2010

Cray Valley has announced a further price increase for all unsaturated polyester resins and their derivates sold to the composites and cast polymer industries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

The price increase of 10% is effective for all orders shipped on, or after, 19 April 2010.

According to Philippe Vindevoghel, Commercial Director Composites Europe, Cray Valley: "The first increase announced earlier this year has not compensated for the sharp increase in prices of the main raw materials used to manufacture polyester resins. The tight supply of feedstocks, linked to strong Asian demand, is driving all key feedstocks prices upwards."

Cray Valley, headquartered in France, is part of Total's Chemicals branch, which also includes Cook Composites & Polymers (CCP) and Sartomer.
