24 February 2010

Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) celebrated its 20 year anniversary as a company on 9 February 2010.

CCP was formed out of a joint-venture partnership between Total Chimie of Paris, France, and the Cook Paint and Varnish Company of North Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

CCP specialises in the production and distribution of polyester gel-coats, unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins.

The company claims to be the world's largest producer of polyester gel-coats and, with affiliate companies, the second largest producer of coatings resins and unsaturated polyester resins. In addition, CCP says its distributor network is North America's largest for composites and cast polymers.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, CCP has manufacturing facilities throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico.

CCP affiliate companies include TOTAL, Cray Valley, Sartomer, Reacciones Quimicas, Peninsula Polymers and Progress Plastics among others.
