AOC says the price increase of US$0.05/lb applies to all shipments within the USA and Canada. The implementation date for the increase is 1 March 2010.

The company states that continued cost pressures for energy and feedstock materials are resulting in significant price increases for the raw materials used in AOC products. Recent price increases for benzene, ethylene, propylene, butane and mixed xylenes, among others, are responsible for the increase.

AOC says price increases for these raw materials are forecast to continue during the next few months.
