SNSP will be using FiberSIM to design an 80-m composite hull. It will use the software to develop layup information and to automate ply information to be sent to cutting and laser positioning machines.
SNSP has also purchased VISTAGY professional services for training as well as on-site assistance in developing composites design methodologies.
"We’re pleased to partner with SNSP to apply FiberSIM to cutting-edge composite design and manufacturing techniques for producing hulls so the company can meet its aggressive objectives,” says Scott Carlyle, vice president of worldwide sales for VISTAGY, of Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. “Working together we will help SNSP achieve cost saving goals by improving the efficiency and productivity of their overall composites development process.”
