VISTAGY and BETA CAE Systems announce partnership

13 November 2009

VISTAGY Inc, provider of the FiberSIM® composites engineering software, and BETA CAE Systems SA, a specialist in computer aided engineering (CAE) software systems, have announced a technology partnership designed to help manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace and other industries to optimise the use of composites for complex applications.

The companies will integrate VISTAGY’s FiberSIM composites engineering software and BETA CAE Systems’ ANSA CAE pre-processing software.

The integrated software product solution will be available in the first quarter of 2010.

The FiberSIM suite of software supports the complex design and manufacturing methodologies necessary to engineer products and parts using composites. ANSA is a multidisciplinary CAE pre-processing software tool that provides the necessary functionality for full-model build up, from CAD data to ready-to-run solver input files, in a single integrated environment.

“BETA CAE Systems is one of the world’s leading analysis firms and a true force in the automotive industry,” says Ed Bernardon, vice president of business development for VISTAGY Inc, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. “With the growing interest in composites in the automotive industry, there is clearly a natural fit for a partnership between VISTAGY and BETA CAE Systems to provide state-of-the-art solutions to our joint customers.”

BETA CAE Systems SA is headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece.
