Lancore is a further development of Lantor BV’s Soric core material/infusion medium, a polyester nonwoven material with a compression-resistant random dot-printed cell structure. The cells, which are separated by channels, contain synthetic microspheres for weight reduction and resin savings.

Lancore is reported to act as a real three-dimensional (3D) flexible core material, which saves weight and resin, improves surface quality, and reduces handling work. It is a 'combi-product' combining glass chopped strand mat (CSM) reinforcements with a flexible core.

According to Lantor, Lancore offers the composites manufacturer all the advantages of Soric – design freedom (flexibility), weight reduction and flow support – combined with the reinforcement properties of the CSM reinforcement.

Lancore is expected to find applications in industries where weight/resin saving, improved surface quality and more robust production are of importance.
