Material and structure modelling software released

05 March 2009

e-Xstream of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, has released DIGIMAT 3.2.1, a nonlinear multi-scale material and structure modelling platform for composites.

 DIGIMAT 3.2.1 features:

  • Improved homogenisation of strain rate dependent composites (elasto-viscoplastic) for crash analysis;
  • New capabilities to model composite failure including Kelly-Tyson model for strength computation;
  • Homogenization of electrical and thermal conductivities and modelling of multi-layered composites with Digimat-MF & Digimat-FE;
  • Support of fibre orientation tensors on an integration point bases; and
  • Distributed Memory Parallelisation (DMP) of Digimat to computer-aided engineering (CAE) interfaces.
