Meridian’s recently constructed facility in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, will be capable of producing approximately 75 million lb of SMC annually enabling Meridian to sell engineered formulations of SMC sheet to other Mexican-based moulders within the composites industry.
Richard E. Newsted, Meridian’s President and CEO, says: “Our investment in SMC production capability… will provide a domestic source of high quality SMC for our heavy truck, consumer and industrial products and OEM [original equipment manufacturer] customers located in Mexico."
