Cray Valley increases resin prices in Europe

24 August 2009

Cray Valley has announced a price increase for unsaturated polyester resins sold to the composites industry in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

The price increase of €150/tonne will be effective for orders shipped on, or after, 7 September 2009.

According to Philippe Vindevoghel, Cray Valley Commercial Director, Composites Europe: "This increase in an unavoidable response to the sharp rise of prices of all main key feedstocks and raw materials utilised to manufacture polyester resins over the summer."

Cray Valley, headquartered in France, is part of Total's Chemicals business, which also includes Cook Composites & Polymers (CCP) and Sartomer.
