ACMA renames trade show

21 July 2009

The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) has announced that its annual conference and trade show will now be called COMPOSITES, the Composites Exhibition and Convention.

For the past two years, the event had been called COMPOSITES+POLYCON. The ACMA says that changing the name to COMPOSITES allows it to convey the scope of the largest composites event in North America.

The theme for COMPOSITES 2010, to be held in Las Vegas, 9-11 February 2010, will be Discover the Future of Composites Today and it will include a focus on emerging markets, high-performance materials, and energy.

“The composites industry is changing and COMPOSITES 2010 is poised to help attendees and exhibitors prepare for the future,” says ACMA President Monty Felix. “As companies diversify their operations and their products, they’ll be looking for new opportunities in both traditional and developing markets. COMPOSITES 2010 offers a single venue for manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and end users to converge and plan for future success.”

ACMA is calling for presentations of technical papers and education sessions at COMPOSITES 2010 and has extended the deadline for submitting abstracts to 14 August 2009.
