CCS Composites receives Boeing supplier award

CCS Composites, a subsidiary of TenCate Advanced Composites, has received a 2011 Boeing Performance Excellence Award.

Boeing issues the award annually to suppliers which have achieved superior performance.

CCS Composites, based in Fairfield, California, USA, has maintained a Silver level performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period.

CCS Composites fabricates compression moulded parts for Boeing's V-22 Osprey and F-18 programmes. Parent company TenCate also supplies low dielectric radome prepregs to the Boeing 787 and EA-18 Growler programme, and TenCate Cetex® thermoplastic composites for a variety of Boeing aircraft.

"This award is especially meaningful as a result of the investments we have made in capacity," Paul Draghi, Vice President of Operations for TenCate Advanced Composites USA.

"We have maintained this high delivery rate and quality standard while also completing a move to a new and larger aerospace grade facility in Fairfield, California. TenCate recognises the importance of on time delivery, high quality and keeping price and lead times competitive."

This time, Boeing recognised 529 suppliers which achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award.
