Interplastic announces price increase for resins

11 June 2009

Interplastic Corporation is raising the price of its CoREZYN® and Silmar® brand products, including vinyl ester, polyester and speciality resins, gel-coats, and colorants.

The price increase of US$0.05/lb will come into effect on shipments on, or after, 4 July 2009.

“The recent sharp increase in crude oil and derivative products has put increased pressure on the price of all polyester raw materials," explains Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager, Interplastic's Thermoset Resins Division. "We can no longer absorb these increased costs and must pass a portion on to our customers.”

Interplastic’s Thermoset Resins Division is the manufacturer of CoREZYN and Silmar brand unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and speciality resins, gel-coats, and colorants for the composites, cast polymer, and solid surface industries.

Interplastic Corporation is headquartered in St Paul, Minnesota, USA.
