The Windquest Group invests in Energetx Composites

08 August 2011

The Windquest Group, a US private investment group, has made an investment in Energetx Composites of Holland, Michigan. The proceeds of the investment will be used to continue the scale-up of Energetx Composites’ manufacturing equipment for the production of utility scale wind turbine blades.

Windquest, which has been investing in the clean technology sector over the past few years, will be participating as a financial partner as well as joining the Energetx Board of Directors.

“We are pleased to be working together with Energetx Composites," says Dick DeVos, President of Windquest.

"The members of the Energetx team have a long and successful history in developing and manufacturing advanced composite products. We are eagerly looking forward to helping them continue to grow this business and meet the increasing demands for advanced composite products across a variety of industries; including wind energy, transportation, aerospace as well as others.”

"This investment undoubtedly makes us a stronger organisation and will allow for the continued growth of Energetx Composites in the months and years ahead,” states Kelly Slikkers, Vice President of Business Development, Energetx Composites.

Energetx recently announced a Manufacturing Master Supply Agreement with Aeroblade of Victoria, Spain, through which Energetx will become Aeroblade’s North American manufacturing partner, supplying utility scale wind turbine blades to Aeroblade’s customers in the USA and Canada.
