The price increase is effective 15 May 2011, or as contracts allow.

The products affected include methyl ethyl ketone peroxides, benzoyl peroxide, acetylacetone peroxide, and speciality blends. The Euro prices for all products in these lines will increase 8-12% depending on formulation.

The prices for other currencies will be further adjusted to reflect currency fluctuations.

“We have experienced tremendous increases in costs and tightness in supply of many of our key raw materials,” reports Benny Fahrman, general manager for Syrgis Performance Initiators, Europe. “Our manufacturing team has been able to implement process improvements to offset a portion of the increase, but not all.”
