The first contract is for a total of 100 MW for wind power projects in Hessen, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and Brandenburg, Germany. Vestas has not disclosed the customer or the projects, other than it will deliver 12 of its V112 3 MW wind turbines and 32 of its V90 2 MW units.

Delivery is estimated to be completed by the end of 2011.

Vestas has also announced a contract with Prokon Energiesysteme GmbH for 140 MW of wind power in Poland.

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer will deliver 70 of its V90 2 MW wind turbines.

Delivery is to start late 2011 with completion by late 2012. 25 of the wind turbines will be installed in 2011, Vestas says.
