Four supplements for 2008 – NEW!
Reinforced Plastics will be publishing four very special and highly targeted
supplements this year, taking a closer look at all the vertical markets and specialist
areas that our readers need information on.
Composites in Aerospace
The Boeing B787 and Airbus A380 have taken
composites use in passenger aircraft a big step forward,
but there are still a lot of opportunities for further
applications. Our special supplement on the use of
composite materials in commercial and military
aircraft will be sent to a highly targeted audience of
aerospace designers and manufacturers.
Composites in Marine
Composites are of course well established in the
boatbuilding industry, but production materials and
techniques are constantly evolving to provide higher
performance and optimise manufacturing
processes. Our editorial will focus on the latest
composite technologies and applications in the
recreational, commercial and military marine
sectors, including case studies and design guidance.
Composites in Automotive
The global automotive industry holds huge potential
for composites but the competition is fierce and cost
pressures are immense. Where are composites
currently being employed in cars, buses and trucks,
and what could the future hold?
Composites in Construction
The applications for composites in construction are
numerous - including pipes and bridge decks,
architecture, and strengthening and repair of
structures - but architects and civil engineers are slow
to adopt 'new' materials. We will give them an overview
of the advantages of composites over conventional
construction materials, case studies of successful
composite applications, and design and production
guidance.
