Composites producer receives business award

E2E MATERIALS LLC of Ithaca, New York, USA, has been awarded the US$100 000 grand prize in the EssentialConnections.org Emerging Business Competition.

The company, which produces composites from soy protein and natural fibres, recently announced a partnership with a leading skateboard manufacturer to produce up to 100 000 skateboards a month.

“Skateboards are just the beginning,” comments Patrick Govang, e2e president. “This competition provides a springboard for e2e to continue to develop into a host of new product areas.”

The award was presented at the annual meeting of the Metropolitan Development Association (MDA) of Syracuse and Central New York.
