Vistagy part of winning team

VISTAGY, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, is celebrating Renault’s Formula One Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championship victories. VISTAGY’s FiberSIM® CAD-integrated engineering software has been used in the design and manufacture of composite parts for the Renault F1 team’s racing cars since 2002.

Last season, VISTAGY’s software and laser projection technology is reported to have helped reduce composite part lay-up time by 62%. FiberSIM enabled design changes that are said to have enhanced the car’s performance and speed. The durability of the car was improved by increasing ply count by 21% with no increase in production time; the laminate templating process took 30% less time; and lay-up time was reduced by 13% compared to the previous season.
