MFG Galileo completes US radome installation

MFG GALILEO Composites of Sparks, Nevada, USA has completed its installation of four 48 ft composite radomes at the US Air Force’s Cape Canaveral, Kwajalein, Diego Garcia, and Ascension Global Positioning System (GPS) IIF ground stations.

MFG Galileo designed, manufactured and installed the composite wall radomes replacing the existing metal space frame radomes made by Boeing, the US Air Force’s prime contractor for GPS IIF and ground stations.

“The completion of these mission-critical installations for GPS IIF is a significant milestone for our company and our relationship with Boeing,” says Clint Lackey, General Manager at MFG Galileo. “These installations add to our high-profile portfolio of mission-critical radome placements for both military and civilian applications worldwide. It is also another market validation of our industry-leading capabilities in composite research, design and manufacturing applied to optimising structural and RF performance.”
