Marine company doubles machining capacity

VECTORWORKS MARINE has doubled its computer numerical control (CNC) machining capacity with the installation of a new 31.4 m (103 ft) long x 8.5 m (28 ft) wide x 4 m (13 ft) tall 5-axis CNC router.

According to Vectorworks, the new mill will not only enable it to machine larger plugs and limited production tooling in a single piece, but its four times greater machining speed and even tighter tolerances compared to the existing mills will also allow it to significantly increase its capacity for existing parts.
