Gurit establishes Chinese subsidiary

GURIT HAS successfully set up a Chinese subsidiary as a wholly-owned foreign enterprise.

Construction work began in November on a 10 000m2 production building in Tianjin, China. Production is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2007. The company is planning to lease space nearby in the interim so that it can begin the finishing of its structural foam products for the wind energy and marine markets in Spring 2007.

Gurit chose Tianjin as the location for its plant because important international and Chinese companies using advanced composites are located in and around the city.
