Composite boat sails to victory

ALINGHI HAS successfully defended the America’s Cup. The Advanced Composites Group of Heanor, UK, was the team’s official composite materials supplier.

The defenders Alinghi scored a 5:2 victory over the Emirates Team New Zealand challengers. The cup winning boat, the SUI 100, was built by the Decision Boatyard, using ACG’s VTM®260 series prepregs throughout.
