Teijin expands Twaron production capacity

TEIJIN LTD and Teijin Twaron BV are to increase their production capacity of high performance fibre Twaron® by around 15%.

Monomer and polymer capacity will rise at plants in Emmen and Delfzijl in the Netherlands from the end of 2008.  

The expansion is attributed to continuous market growth for para-aramid fibres for automotive, ballistic and optical fibre cable applications. It is the fourth capacity expansion in six years.
