Hexion raises resin prices

HEXION SPECIALTY Chemicals of Columbus, Ohio, USA, increases its prices for all unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins by US$0.08/lb from 15 August.

The company says the increase reflects the continued escalation of energy and chemical intermediate costs.

Hexion’s composite polymers business produces a broad range of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins for use in reinforced composites and cast polymer products.  They are formulated for use in a variety of markets including transportation, construction, infrastructure, marine and consumer goods.
