AGY raises E-glass prices

AGY OF AIKEN, South Carolina, USA, says it is increasing its prices on E-glass yarns from June in response to increasing production costs.

“Over the last several years, we have experienced significantly rising costs in raw materials, precious metals and energy. Other costs tied to the escalating price of energy – including transportation and packaging have also increased. Given these current economic realities, we have now reached appoint where we can no longer offset rising costs and need to adjust our pricing,” says Drew Walker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AGY.

The rising costs means the company finds it difficult to justify necessary investments without increasing its sales prices.
