Dielectric Solutions forms strategic alliance

IN ORDER TO expand the use of its process for producing lightweight glass fibre fabric, Dielectric Solutions LLC, Kittanning, Pennsylvania, USA, has formed a strategic alliance with Compunetics Inc of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, a producer of printed circuit boards and telecommunications equipment, and the Isovolta Group, Austria, a manufacturer of high pressure laminates, composites and electrical insulation materials.

The company also reports more than US$9 million in additional financing to support future growth initiatives.

Dielectric Solutions claims that its GlasFab® process produces a fabric that is flatter, thinner and stronger than other commercially available products, and also exhibits improved electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. The company's products are used in the electronics sector as well as in a range of composite applications in the ballistics, aerospace, construction and petroleum industries.
