Interplastic acquires Mahogany distribution business

MAHOGANY Company of Mays Landing Inc is set to sell the assets of its composite materials distribution business to Interplastic Corp. North American Composites, Interplastic’s distribution subsidiary, will operate the business.

Mahogany distributes a range of thermoset resins, fibreglass reinforcements and associated products. Interplastic will acquire two distribution centres in Mays Landing, New Jersey, and stocking locations in Everett, Pennsylvania, and Duncan, South Carolina. It will also gain exclusive distribution rights for Mahogany produced composite kits. Mahogany Kit Cutting is not included in the sale.

The sale will be completed by the end of November. It will enable Mahogany to focus on its kit cutting business. North American Composites will benefit from expanded distribution coverage in the mid-Atlantic states.
