Reichhold launches low-profile additives

REICHHOLD, based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA, is introducing two low-profile additives (LPAs).

POLYLITE® 31702-40 is for use in pultrusion. It is a 40% solids polyvinyl acetate LPA, which enables pultruders to fabricate glossy and smooth profiles for applications that require enhanced cosmetic and aesthetic properties. The additive can be used for window lineals, ladder rails and tool handles amongst other applications.

POLYLITE® 31701-35 is a 35% solids polystyrene LPA for use in compression moulding. It was developed to allow sheet/bulk moulding compound (SMC/BMC) manufacturers to develop low-shrink formulations for compression moulding applications. Applications include residential door skins and shrink control for SMC formulations.
