Aerospace centre chooses FiberSIM software

THE DUTCH National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR) has purchased VISTAGY Inc's FiberSIM software for designing complex composite parts. NLR member organisations will also have access to FiberSIM for developing designs.

NLR's Automated Composites Manufacturing Technology Center (ACM-TC) will use FiberSIM to more efficiently and cost-effectively create complex, pre-formed parts with reduced development risks, costs and cycle times.

“One of the biggest challenges for today’s engineers is to design innovative products that are cost-effective to manufacture yet meet the demanding specifications of the aerospace industry,” says Alex Edwards, general manager, Europe at VISTAGY.
